Walter Cronkite Looks Back on His Career and Talks About His Regrets

From Glenn Greenwald’s “Celebrating Cronkite while ignoring what he did.” (a great read, by the way, with some very interesting comments), I learned that Cronkite revealed some regrets in a 1996, during an interview with Newseum: “What do I regret? Well, I regret that in our attempt to establish some standards, we didn’t make them stick. We couldn’t find a way to pass them on to another generation.”
